kindergarten graduation

i can't believe tomorrow is michael's last day of kindergarten. the year has gone by so quickly. today they had a "graduation" ceremony in his class. michael had such a huge grin on his face. he also got two special awards.
the 1st one was from the school for Perfect Attendance!!! we realized that he had a shot at it when january rolled around and he hadn't missed a day. i guess he was lucky not to get sick at all this year. we are so proud of him for this; he never complained about going to school and pretty much had great behavior all year at school.the 2nd award he won was from the teachers. this award was called the "Reader Bee" award. michael has become obsessed with reading (certainly not something we will discourage him from obsessing about). he reads the Magic Tree House books all the time and keeps a log of each book he reads (can't imagine where he gets that from). when presenting the award, his teacher said that he reads when he…

The New World of Coke

wow! it's been almost 4 weeks already that i have been back to work for CCE. my first two weeks were a complete blur as i was out of town most of those weeks conducting training. the past two weeks have been dedicated to doing a brain dump and getting back up to speed. there is so much good work going on and i am working with very bright, very enthusiastic people; the mantra of the team is "diligence every day." i'm so happy to be back to work with a group of people that i really liked working with in the past.

one of the best aspects of my new job has got to be my view. anything would have been an upgrade from the dungeon in our basement (aka Dang's room). we are on the 15th floor and i have an office with a view of the chattahoochee river, perimeter mall area, buckhead, midtown and downtown. it's truly spectacular. i get to watch the sunrise every morning...

today was a lot of fun. we had the priviledge of getting a sneak peek at the new World of Coke museum…
