Only in San Francisco is November the best time to go to the beach

We had a rare day off today, so after watching Arsenal lose to United, and with Beth out for a day of scrapbooking, I decided to toss the kids in the car and take a trip to Rodeo Beach. We love this beach for it's black sand, huge waves (though the water is way too cold to go in), watching surfers, stunning views, and sparse crowds. I'm surprised more people don't go to this beach given it's proximity to the city, but I won't tell anyone.

The weather is so different than we had become accustomed to in Atlanta; it's beautiful EVERY DAY here. No rain, no snow, no ice, no thunder, no lightning, no tornados. NOTHING. BUT. SUNSHINE.

Well, except for the fog. I think today was the first time we've gone to the beach without Karl the Fog. And without Beth. Coincidence??

If I had told Beth and the kids before they moved out here that we would be at the beach in November, they would have told me I was crazy. Though I am a bit crazy.
