Tip #1: Reapply sunscreen often when it's about 150 outside. I actually told Beth yesterday at one point that I could feel myself cooking. Now I know where the bacon smell was coming from.
Yesterday and today were pretty much like Sunday. Beach in the morning, pool in the afternoon, sunburn free to those that care for it. Why is it that the kids always want to climb on your shoulders when they are crispy?
Elizabeth has made a friend at the beach, Mrs. Selina. I think Elizabeth talked to her for about an hour today and actually ran back to her when we left to give her a hug and a kiss. She is quite a character.
Oscar is becoming more of the prototypical surfer dude every day. He's doing great on his boogie board while riding the waves and likes to float around on it in the calm surf farther out. Pretty much his personality all summed up.
Michael, of course, thinks he is bigger than he is. He sees people out on the sandbar several hundred feet offshore and is convinced that he can make it out there. And he has his standard arguments with us when it's time to leave (which led to him losing the pool this afternoon). He was pretty pooped when he got back from the beach and took a 3 hour nap and still went to bed at the same time as O & E. Hopefully he'll have a better day tomorrow.
