Oscar's Letter to Henry

Oscar didn't get to bring his guitar to the hospital, but apparently he's been practicing a lot. He wrote the words to the song and he read them to Henry at the hospital today. He's going to play the guitar for Henry at home tomorrow while Big Daddy sings. I'm sure it will be a tear jerker.

Henry Russell Kriebel

Date: May 30 Time: 6:47pm Weight: 7 lbs 10 oz Length: 21 in I got to help deliver Henry and cut his umbilical cord. The delivery was really, really cool. Beth is a champ! 5 pushes and he was out. Pictures

Michael's 1st Swim Meet

Tonight was Michael's first swim meet. He swam in the 7-8 yr old group and did well. He swam in 5 events. Here's the crazy part. We had to be there at 4:45 (for a 6pm start) and the pool was packed already. The meet lasted a good 4 hrs, over 0 events, many with multiple heats. All that counts though is that he's having fun. Sunday night we did smores after dinner. Beth ate more than the rest of us combined, but Oscar was easily the messiest. </a

Hiking Kenessaw Mountain

This morning, Michael, Elizabeth and I hiked Kenessaw Mountain, site of some Civil War battles. It took us about 40 minutes to get to the top, then we walked down the other side and back around to our starting place. About an hour or so total. We were pooped! The first picture is of the 3 of us at the top of Kenessaw Mountain and in the background of the 2nd picture is Little Kenessaw Mountain (which I didn't even know existed).

The Wind and the Pitch

Ballet Recital

Today was Elizabeth's ballet recital. The show was so much better this year than last year; much more dancing and much less acting. Elizabeth did really great. We are so proud of her. More pics

My Cute Wife

You know, there are times when I completely fall in love with Beth all over again. She doesn't know it, but today was one of those days. She looked absolutely adorable. She has the cutest tummy, her hair was nice and curly and she had that grin on her face that I love so much. The turkey tester is really starting to pop out now!

Swim Practice

It was 70 degrees today, but Michael still had swim practice. He's having a blast so far, despite the freezing cold water. Of course, Elizabeth insisted that I take her picture. I showed up after practice started, so when Michael was doing kick board, he saw me and gave me a little wave.

Mother's Day

We had a really nice brunch today at Bentwater Golf Club. We've gone here a couple of times now for Mother's Day and Michael requested we go back. Great food and the kids were really well behaved!

New Bird House

Last weekend I helped Big Daddy build a stand for a Georgia Bulldog bird house they gave us a while back. Today at lunch we saw this cardinal. It was so neat to watch it eat.

Batman & a Hospital Tour

Earlier today Batman came for a visit. We hadn't seen him in a while, but he came out of his cave to fly all around, especially from the bed to the floor. Later in the day we took the kids to the hospital for a tour. Michael protested (as usual) before going, but when we were eating dinner he said "Mom, that was a lot of fun!" They are so excited to meet their baby brother. They were shocked at how small new babies really are. Now, Beth only need to hold out until Thursday night.

Evening in the Garden

Last night was the Evening in the Garden event at the school. This is a fund raiser they do every spring to raise money for the art program. The kids do a big art project during the year and they get framed for sale. The kids also put on a musical for the parents. Oscar and Elizabeth were flowers (Oscar was the only boy flower) and Michael was part of the forest. Oscar and Elizabeth were really into it. Michael said he wanted to do it, but he didn't look like he was having too much fun.

Beth's Birthday

Last night was Beth's 34th birthday. Not only that, but we had games for Oscar, Elizabeth and Michael, plus the community garage sale. Fortunately, Ma came over to help Beth with the garage sale and Big Daddy came over to take Michael to his baseball game. Michael and Big Daddy have been working hard in the yard since. Beth wanted to go to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner last night. The kids loved it, especially the onion volcano and lava. I would highly recommend that type of dinner for the kids.

Michael & Jack

Tonight Michael played his long time friend Jack. They have known each other since they were just a few months old. Game Pictures
