My Kids & Me

I had an extended break from teaching duties at the Data School  for the month of November, and with my Dad headed in for double knee replacement surgery in December, I decided to pay them a surprise visit for a week. My brother picked me up at the airport and took me to my parents house for the big reveal. They were really surprised, but not nearly as surprised as I heard they were when their favorite child, Stephanie, surprised them over the Christmas break. Either way, it was great to see them. I was also able to throw in a quick trip to New York to meet some of my fellow Tableau Zen Masters, Peter and Steve, to host an event we called Coffee Talk. I knew I'd be back in the States at least twice in 2016 for conferences, but I wasn't sure when I'd see my parents again. Here's to hoping they enjoyed the visit as much as I did.
